Information
UN certified boxes are specifically designed in line with the United Nations standards for transporting dangerous goods by road, rail, air, and sea. UN boxes and UN certified packaging is designed, produced, and tested for its durability, stability, and water absorption. The amount of goods you're permitted to carry in any individual box is determined by the maximum gross weight certification for that box, also known as its 4G or 4GV rating.
The 4G rating applies to goods held within a UN Certified Box. The 4GV rating refers to goods contained inside a non-certified container. If you decide to use a non-certified container for your 4GV specification, it must have a certified inner polythene liner, which you can order with us too.
